UNESCO is pleased to inform you that the Youth for Peace: UNESCO Intercultural Leadership Programme is finally open for applications https://www.unesco.org/en/interculturaldialogue/youthforpeace. The deadline to apply is 22 June 2025 at 23:59 CET (Paris time).

This new flagship initiative aims to empower young leaders (ages 25–45) to harness intercultural dialogue as a tool to foster social cohesion and address global challenges. The first edition of the Programme will focus on the theme: “Learning to Collaborate for a Shared Future: Using Dialogue to Foster Social Cohesion in a World on the Move.”

We are seeking candidates who demonstrate a strong interest in strengthening their capacity to serve as agents of peace in their communities and beyond.

Over the course of the programme, 50 selected participants will:

    • Engage in online training workshops in September 2025.
    • Receive a USD 10,000 grant to implement a community project (October 2025-May 2026) aligned with the programme’s annual theme.
    • Access ongoing mentorship, peer learning opportunities, and capacity development.
    • Attend an in-person Global Youth Dialogue for Peace in April 2026 in Guangzhou, China.
Join UNESCO’s Global Alumni Network for sustained engagement.

This is a global call, and we are aiming for maximum regional diversity. We kindly request your support in disseminating this opportunity through your networks and relevant partners – particularly those working with youth and intercultural dialogue – to help ensure strong representation from your region.
